A quote from the bible in 666,666 Bitcoin block –

There is a message in the transaction in block 666 666 in the Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain. This message is a quote from the sixth book of the New Testament, the Letter to the Romans. He was the first to notice her @ emzy @ bitcoinhackers.org:

“Do not be defeated by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

The transaction in question contained an equal amount of Bitcoin – 432,100 satoshi ($ 160) – sent to two different addresses. The first few characters of these addresses contain the words “God” and “Bible.”

Whoever sent the transaction paid over $ 50 in fees for it. This is five times the average Bitcoin transaction fee. This means that the sender’s goal was that his transactions and message be included in block 666 666.

Not the first time…

This is not the first time a hidden message has been found in a Bitcoin block. The most famous example is the message found in the first block mined, known as “genesis block”.

“The Times 03 / Jan / 2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.”

In response to the massive reprinting of money by the U.S. Federal Reserve, the following message appeared in block number 630,000:

“NYTimes 09 / Apr / 2020 With $ 2.3T Injection, Fed’s Plan Far Excue 2008 Rescue.”

Embedding messages on the blockchain has become a frequent phenomenon in recent years. Previous messages appeared in the form of declarations, poetry, speeches and general profanation.
