– Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Twitter analytics show that social media interest in bitcoin is setting new records on a number of key metrics. So it seems that the interest has been correlated with the rising price, which has recently been regularly gaining new ATH.

On Saturday, analytics firm The TIE published a chart showing that the number of unique users tweeting about Bitcoin has reached a new ATH. Such high numbers were last seen during the 2017 boom.

Joshua Frank, CEO of The TIE, in an interview with Cointelegraph, said that the interest is constantly growing and is not limited to Bitcoin.

According to Frank, since he posted a tweet on The TIE’s profile, the number of unique tweets about Bitcoin has risen above 70,000, and the total number of tweets overshadowed ATH in December 2017. The total number of crypto tweets also reached a new record – almost a quarter of a million in 24 hours.

The number of searches on Google is also growing

However, the volume increase is not limited to Twitter only. As previously reported on , the volume of searches for the phrase “Bitcoin” is growing in correlation with the price of the flagship cryptocurrency.

Interestingly, however, the “how to buy Ethereum” searches are still quite low, despite the enormous growth and ETH breaking the $ 1,000 barrier. Many speculate that this increase is due to “FOMO” among institutions.
