Charles Hoskinson speaks frequently about the most varied topics on his YouTube channel and recently commented on Ethereum and Bitcoin
The impressive journey of Cardano’s native currency, ADA, was well documented last month. LunarCrush ranked it the #1 coin out of a total of 2,237 coins in terms of social activity. Although I have witnessed a small correction in the last 24 hours, at the time of this writing, it was trading just below the $1.70 price level.
Now, another thing that comes to mind when we talk about Cardano is its history with the 2nd largest coin, the Ethereum. Charles Hoskinson and Vitalik Buterin have fought in the past over the technical superiority of each coin. Hoskinson has vehemently criticized the biggest altcoin. Since the inception of ETH, there have been significant differences in the ideology of these prominent cryptocurrency proponents. Perhaps this is the reason why he left Ethereum in those early days to begin his work on the “Ethereum Killer”, also known as Cardano.
Another twist in the ETH vs ADA debate
Hoskinson said this in a recent live session:
“ETH is one of the biggest innovations the space has ever seen, this is much bigger than Bitcoin. It gave everyone a platform to build something crazy.”
He even added:
“ETH 2.0 is taking a while to mature and grow, but I’m confident about it. It will soon hit the market and serve the crypto community as a whole.”
He still recognized the differences in the past between Vitalik and himself, but he agreed on one thing:
“I don’t disagree with him on an agenda that is our mutual goal in this decentralized world.”
Cardano’s Hoskinson has been quite eloquent about why and how Cardano is superior. be in your frequent youtube sessions or live interviews/conferences. Hoskinson stated:
“I laugh when people say, ‘How will you achieve the Ethereum network effect?’
He added: “…there was a lot of skepticism about Ethereum and how Cardano was beating it at its own game. Perhaps the reason behind Cardano being nicknamed the ‘Ethereum Killer’? ”
In your recent interview, Hoskinson stated:
“First of all, Ethereum is killing itself. They are replacing Ethereum with Ethereum 2.0. In the end, ETH 2.0 will kill ETH 1.0.”
