“Twitter Fight,” Jack Dorsey challenges Elon Musk to chat about Bitcoin.
Tesla boss and former bitcoin man (BTC) Elon Musk became the subject again after a typically awkward BTC-themed conversation with Twitter boss and bitcoin bull Jack Dorsey on social media.
Musk was the darling of the BTC community for much of the first half of the year, but the mood worsened slightly after Tesla sold some of its BTC holdings and rocked the market by expressing concerns about high energy usage.
The latest storm in a virtual cup of tea started when Dorsey went online to promote a campaign and event called “The B Word” – which aims to educate organizations on how to “embrace bitcoin”.
Pun-lover Musk made a comment, writing “Bicurious?”
Dorsey responded with a more balanced response, writing:
“Bizarre! Let’s talk you and me at the event. You can share all your trivia. ”
Musk responded with a no-strings-attached “LMFAO OMG”.
But Dorsey upped the ante, challenging Musk to “have the conversation.”
To which Musk replied:
For the Bitcurious? Very well then, let’s do it 😉

Crypto twitter – quite predictable – has collapsed, with some rushing to Musk’s defense, dogecoiners interpreting the fight as an endorsement of dogecoin (DOGE) over BTC and bitcoiners going on the defensive.
Musk wasn’t ready yet. As the anger continued to build, he unleashed another Twitter splinter, writing:
“How many bitcoin maxis does it take to screw a light bulb?”
The confusing joke? “‘This is not funny!’ – Bitcoin maxis. ”
A plea for an end to Musk’s chaos on Twitter has gained a lot of popular support.
Brother I am asking you kindly to please shut up

But others had a more moderate response. Real Vision founder Raoul Pal smoldered, commenting ironically that Musk seemed to have “discovered that [o] bitcoin maxi tribe are the exception to the rule of the broader crypto community.”
“Maximalism is good conceptually, though, and it has a probability, but [está] far, far from being a certainty.”
Others pointed to Tesla’s reluctance to start accepting BTC payments again, even after the crackdown on Chinese cryptocurrency, which could direct more miners on the Bitcoin network to renewable energy sources.
One of them even accused Musk of hypocrisy, questioning the methods of obtaining the cobalt used in electric vehicle batteries.
How many kids does it take to mine for cobalt? https://t.co/9VYwZs3lj0

And @Singapore_HODL urged the community to stop paying so much attention to Musk, adding:
“Nobody cares about accepting Bitcoin. Who in their right mind exchanges an asset in appreciation for another in depreciation? ”
Cryptoactive analyst Kevin Svenson said Musk really needed to have “a talk” with Dorsey, as the former “still behaves like a kid.”
But perhaps the final word belongs to Castle Islands Ventures partner Nic Carter, who thought perhaps the real joke was that Musk “still has an unlimited capacity to drive bitcoiners crazy” is that “we keep falling into this”.
