Tennis player and businessman Serena Williams invests in Lolli, an app that allows people to earn Bitcoin (BTC) while shopping online.

Lolli arguesSerena Ventures and venture capital fund Seven Seven Six, owned by tennis player Alexis Ohanian’s husband, invested in the project.
Williams does not hide that she is fascinated with Bitcoin.
– I’m excited to announce my investment in Lolli, a company with a mission to make Bitcoin more accessible [dla ludzi]. Earning and owning Bitcoin is a step towards financial integration for all people – she explained.
It turns out, however, that a much larger number of famous people invest in Lolla today. Night Media, a company that manages finances and represents famous YouTube personalities – incl. MrBeasta, Cody Ko, Casey Neistat, Philip DeFranco and Noel Miller – is also a participant in the funding round.
Lolli claims to make the main market cryptocurrency more accessible to all internet users. It offers cash back rewards that are expressed in Bitcoin. This allows you to earn BTC when you shop online at over 1,000 companies, including Kroger, Best Buy and Nike.
The company says it has donated over $ 3 million in Bitcoin to customers since its launch in 2018.
Last year, Lolli also raised $ 3 million from investors, including actor Ashton Kutcher and youtuber Michelle Phan.
Williams invests in Coinbase
It is worth recalling that this is not a tennis player’s first investment on the BTC market. In April 2019, the athlete wrote in a post on Instagram that in 2014, she invested in over 30 companies, including the Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange, which is very popular today.
Williams is a winner of the Non-Calendar Grand Slam in singles and doubles, and a Career Gold Grand Slam in singles and doubles. In addition, Olympic champion in singles from London (2012) and in doubles from Sydney (2000), Beijing (2008) and London (2012) and a multiple winner of WTA awards in various categories.
