Noriaki, an icon of Poznań pop culture and a street art artist known all over Europe, is taking the first and very significant step towards new technologies, expanding his work to date with a digital layer – closed in a non-convertible NFT (Non-Fungible Token) token.
Modern art, broadly understood, is currently experiencing a revolution caused by blockchain technology and NFT tokens. In March this year. a digital artist known as Beeple sold Christie’s most expensive painting to date at the renowned auction house Christie’s – for $ 69 million. This fact has sparked the hopes of many young artists who, thanks to new technologies, can appear on the global market. However, success does not come easily. NFT is just the proverbial “container” for digital content, the authenticity and uniqueness of which is guaranteed by blockchain.
Few artists – so far – have managed to skillfully combine their creative creations with the world of modern cryptocurrencies.
Noriaki – an anonymous and popular street artist from Poznań has prepared completely new material and new versions of his most famous works for his three upcoming NFT collections. Top, unique NFTs will contain special content visible only to the token owners! We hope that the well-known Watcher will appear in the form of crypto this time!
In order to combine the complex technological challenges and the artistic vision in the best possible way, Noriaki invited Polish experts from NFT Foundry – alumni of Blockchain Strategy programs at Oxford and NTF experts from the Christie’s Auction House program. Such an unprecedented combination of pop culture, art and technology guarantees that a new quality will soon appear not only on the Polish but also European market.
At the beginning, Noriaki plans to launch three collections, from the top and unique ‘King of my Castle’. This weekend, the first work of ‘YOLO’ appeared on OpenSea: https://opensea.io/assets/0x495f947276749ce646f68ac8c248420045cb7b5e/76487739893273337255258852022663485867611294783916365990369951231998022385665.
We are waiting for details and we are consumed by curiosity what “hidden” content he added to YOLO Noriaki! Will anyone know who the creator of the Poznan Watcher, or Mr. Periscope, is?
